2023 Fall Yard Clean-Up Week

This year's Fall Yard Clean-up Week will take place from Saturday, October 28th through Saturday, November 4th, 2023.

PICK-UP

The Public Works Department will pick up yard waste placed in biodegradable bags from residential streets on Monday, October 30, 2023. Bags can be purchased at the Village Hall (.80 cents each). Please have bags out at the curb by 6:00 a.m., placed on the boulevard area adjacent to the street, away from your garbage.

Crews will collect from each area one time only. Pickup after this date will result in a minimum pickup charge of $25.00. Pickup does not include tree trimming and brush.

DEMO SITE

The village demo site will be open for additional hours during clean-up week:

              Monday, October 30 - Friday, November 3rd: 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
              Saturday, October 28th & November 4th: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Village residents must have a dump sticker (2023) to enter the demo site, which is available at the Village Hall, free of charge. Yard waste, brush, and leaves will be accepted free of charge. All items must be dumped from containers and plastic bags. Debris/leaves/grass clippings shall not be deposited on any alleyway, road, street, or highway within the Village.

Construction Materials: Village of Ellsworth will not be accepting construction materials at this time due to capacity issues. To dispose of these items, contact your garbage hauler (GFL 715-792-5209) or Pierce County Recycling Center at 273-3092 or www.co.pierce.wi.us.

Regular Demo Site Hours

April-October:
Saturday: 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.

November:
Saturdays: 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

December thru March:
First Saturday of each month 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
